Pachinko: the series based on the river novel makes its debut on Apple TV+

As (from now on) every Friday, a new series (or a new film) arrives in the subscription service ofApple. Series Pachinkobased on the eponymous bestselling novel by Min Jin Leethus making its debut on AppleTV+. Pachinko tells the (river) chronicle of a Korean immigrant family over no less than 4 generations. This family saga begins at the beginning of the 20th century with the occupation of South Korea by Japan, a particular context which will push the young Sunja to emigrate to Japan, the starting point of an incredible family saga.

The viewer therefore follows Sunja’s story from her childhood (Yu-na Jeon), then during her youth (Min-ha Kim) and finally when the latter is old and retired (Yuh-jung Youn), the series going back and forth between the different periods of his life. Soo Hugh is the creator of the series, the realization being entrusted to the tandem Kogonada and Justin Chon. The first three episodes of Pachinko are immediately available on Apple TV+.
