Our cell phones are full of bacteria

As a study impressively demonstrates, an unbelievable amount of bacteria cavort on our mobile phones – even more than on toilets. It makes no difference which manufacturer the smartphones come from.

Study: Smartphones dirtier than toilets

A study by the British company Insurance2Go has revealed an alarming result. The average Cell phones are more contaminated with bacteria than toilets. During the investigation, no fewer than 245.9 infectious units accumulated per square centimeter of cell phone displays. With an average mobile phone, it should be less with 84.9 infectious units, but compared to a toilet seat, the result is still disgusting. A difference between manufacturers of smartphones could not find the company. An unspecified iPhone, a mobile phone from Google’s Pixel series and a likewise unspecified smartphone from Samsung’s Galaxy series were examined.

It cannot be ruled out that the displays, which are sometimes overwhelmed with bacteria effects on the skin of the owner can have. Especially when the mobile phone is pressed to the face to make a call, bacteria can get onto the skin.

Insurance2Go, on the other hand, can give the all-clear keyboards and mice give. Only five infectious units per square centimeter were found here – at least significantly fewer than on a toilet seat.

Cell phone cleaning better without aggressive agents

Anyone who now sees the numbers mentioned as moving them to clean their own smartphone as quickly and thoroughly as possible should do so no aggressive agents let come into use.
