Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro for the Netherlands presented: immediately available

A new range of smartphones has been announced by Oppo. The Chinese brand takes the canvas from the Reno 8 and the Reno 8 Pro. Both models have been announced for the European market in the French city of Paris.

Two new smartphones have been added to Oppo’s portfolio. The brand has taken the curtain off the Reno 8 and the Reno 8 Pro, two new devices that were previously announced for the Chinese market. As a result, we already knew a lot about the devices, but now also about those for the European market. Oppo has focused on the camera and its performance in the dark with the Reno 8 series. The Oppo Reno 8 comes with a 6.4 inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. Oppo gives the smartphone a Full HD + resolution. With the Oppo Reno 8 Pro, this is a 6.7-inch panel, with 120Hz. The Reno 8 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, the Pro model with a Dimensity 8100 Max. Both models come with a 4500 mAh battery, which supports 80W charging. Charging the battery takes approximately 30 minutes. Half charging the battery only takes ten minutes.

Camera

The camera setup is the same with the Reno 8 and the Reno 8 Pro. This means a triple camera with a 50 megapixel main lens, 8 megapixel wide-angle camera and a 2 megapixel macro lens. You shoot the selfies with the 32MP front camera on the front of the phone. Both the front camera and the main lens must be able to take perfect photos in low-light conditions, the manufacturer promises. For this, the Reno 8 models are equipped with a new sensor and new techniques. It is also possible to film 4K with the Ultra Night Video mode.
