Oppo has a patent for a new scroll phone. This would work, wouldn’t it?
At the moment, it is actually only Samsung that can confidently send flexible phones to the market and still make good money on them, however, other companies also he continues to grind his teeth on this area and maybe they will join later with more vigor. At least patents and concepts suggest this. Other brands include the Chinese Oppo, which even in the long run, it looks more at the rolling structure. This is proved, for example, by a functional prototype of the X 2021 phone, which we had the opportunity to test. Now there is a new patent, traditionally eye-catching visualized by LetsGoDigital.

While the Oppo X 2021 as well as most similar concepts from other companies work with the idea of unwinding the display to the side and creating a square out of the traditional mobile shape, the newly intended device would do the opposite. The smaller square would turn into a classic aspect ratio display by scrolling upwards. It would be similar to the Galaxy Z Flip, but thanks to scrolling instead of bending with one big advantage – the display would still be on the surface of the cell phone. It should offer a lot of common tasks, even if it was smaller. For us, this idea is definitely a good one and it is a path that the mobile industry could take.
