OnePlus stops releasing updates for OnePlus 6 and 6T
There will be no more updates for the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T in the future. OnePlus has announced that the latest update has recently been released for the two smartphones.
No more updates for OnePlus 6/6T
It’s over with the updates for the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T. Both devices were released in 2018 and after more than three years, OnePlus pulls the plug. The manufacturer has released this news itself. In mid-December, OxygenOS 11.1.2.2 was released, which was also the last update for the 6 and 6T. This means that the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T will continue to run on the November security update, along with, of course, Android 11.
OnePlus has always provided the devices with updates. When the OnePlus 6 was released in 2018, it appeared with Android Oreo. The OnePlus 6T that appeared a few months later came on the market with Android Pie. The die-hard OnePlus fans could possibly still get started with third-party ROMs; in any case, there will no longer be an official update from OnePlus.
