OnePlus starts teasing its own foldable smartphone

OnePlus is working on a foldable smartphone. Rumors about it have been circulating for some time, but it now seems to be taking on more concrete forms. The manufacturer now shares some photos, which confirm the reports about a foldable smartphone from OnePlus.

Samsung presented the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 last week. Xiaomi in turn presented the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and Motorola showed the Motorola Razr 2022 to the public. The parent company of OnePlus, BKK, already has a foldable smartphone in the company with the Oppo Find N, for example, but now OnePlus also wants to approach this market. There have been reports of a foldable device from OnePlus for some time, but in 2020 OnePlus’ Pete Lau announced that it had no plans to make a foldable smartphone.

However, two years is a long time in which OnePlus seems to have changed its mind. The brand is now even teasing the arrival of a foldable smartphone. Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus, shares photos of a hinge on social media, where it seems that this is an indication of a foldable device. If we look at the length of the hinge, it seems that OnePlus wants to make a foldable device like the Fold 4, so that you open like a book.

Information about the foldable phone of the brand is not yet available. It is also unclear when OnePlus plans to show the device to the world.
