OnePlus starts rolling out Android 12 for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro

Two of the smartphones from OnePlus will now receive the update to Android 12. They are the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro, which, in addition to the new Android version, are also offered OxygenOS 12 from the manufacturer.

OnePlus 9 (Pro) gets Android 12

In some regions, OnePlus has started updating a number of smartphones to Android 12. This makes it the third model series for which the update to the latest Android version is being rolled out. Samsung has already rolled out the update for the Galaxy S21 series and the Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 are now next. The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro therefore join this list. Together with Android 12, the manufacturer also supplies its latest version of its own skin, OxygenOS 12.

Thanks to the update with OxygenOS 12, you can now set more levels for dark mode. You can also adjust many additional settings for the interface. Consider the property that the colors in the interface can be adjusted based on the set background. Furthermore, the OnePlus Shelf has been expanded with more options and improvements in the design. Various improvements are also available for the gallery and the Always-On-Display canvas.

Gallery now allows you to switch between different layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligently recognizing the best-quality pictures, and cropping the thumbnail based on the content, making the gallery layout more pleasing Canvas AOD

The update is known to be rolled out first in India. This means that it may take a while until the new update reaches the Dutch and Belgian copies of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. We suspect that the roll-out in Europe will start in the coming weeks.
