OnePlus is launching new products at a mysterious event this weekend

OnePlus piques our curiosity with a mysterious event on Saturday, December 17. The brand then says it will launch new products, but it does not seem to be about the OnePlus 11 Pro.

OnePlus event

On Chinese social media, OnePlus announces that it has something to announce. “New direction, new action, new future. Something new has been born. Witness an important moment for OnePlus and its products,” is the translation of the message that OnePlus posted.

That teaser is, of course, pretty cryptic. Of course, we know that OnePlus will be launching its flagship OnePlus 11 Pro device soon, but we expect that to happen at a later date. There is also no reference to the phone whatsoever. If OnePlus actually teases a new phone, we usually see renders or reveal part of the specifications.

Wider product range

We wrote this week that OnePlus is expanding its product range. The brand will focus on peripherals for PCs in India, among other things, because it launched two monitors and a mechanical keyboard. The brand may now also want to broaden its product range in other markets.

The monitor that OnePlus recently proposed

The announcement of December 17 seems to be aimed at the Chinese market, but new products can always flow to the Netherlands and Belgium later. We have already seen this happen with the OnePlus Watch and the OnePlus Band, among others. The brand also sells televisions in China and India.

Now that OnePlus has started working closely with OPPO, the brand may also have access to more resources to develop new products under its brand name. Whatever we will see on December 17, it has already piqued our curiosity. Would you like a OnePlus monitor or a TV? Let us know in the comments.
