The own skins of OnePlus and Oppo get a handy addition. In OxygenOS and ColorOS handy tools are available that you can use with screenshots.

Privacy tool for screenshots

New information shows that with the arrival of Android 13, improvements are ready for OxygenOS from OnePlus and ColorOS from Oppo. Both skins are very similar and now get a new function together. This specifically focuses on privacy and can be useful in various circumstances.

Android 13 itself is already getting handy new improvements for privacy, the two manufacturers are taking this one step further. With the new privacy tools you have the option to make certain edits to screenshots. It is not always desirable that the profile photos and names are visible when screenshots are taken. OnePlus and Oppo have now come up with something together.

Take screenshot

When you now take a screenshot, you can edit it yourself to hide certain sensitive data. The new tool should automatically recognize this data. Things such as names and profile pictures are automatically blurred. However, according to the information that is now available, it only works with screenshots made in Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. However, it sometimes seems to work with other apps as well. It is always useful to check yourself whether the tool has blurred everything correctly.

The new Android 13 layer is currently being tested for various models. We will probably see the functionality in the final update.
