OnePlus 6 and 6T received the last update, support officially ends

OnePlus has always relied on system updates for its devices and has always offered customers long system support. But what is to come will come. According to information published on the xda-developers.com portal, the OnePlus 6 and 6T models, for which software support is officially ending, have currently signed.

In July 2021, OnePlus updated the software maintenance plan for its smartphones. It guarantees the flagship model three major Android updates and four years of security patches. For OnePlus 7 models, the company has provided only two major system updates and three years of security updates. Unfortunately, there was no mention of the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T in the above-mentioned maintenance plan.

Despite no mention, the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T smartphones received the latest update. It contained a November security patch and several fixes. In a recent post on the company’s forums, its staff stated that during the entire support, the models received up to 3 major updates and a total of about 90 beta versions of the software. He thus officially announced the end of system support.
