OnePlus 10T launches on August 3

Not only is Samsung revealing the date of a launch event today, OnePlus has just announced such a date as well. The OnePlus 10T will be officially announced on August 3.

The OnePlus 10T is the latest flagship that OnePlus will unveil next month. The phone will be launched in New York on August 3 at 4 p.m. Dutch time. OnePlus boss Pete Lau says that in addition to the OnePlus 10T 5G, OxygenOS 13 will also be presented. That Android version is based on Android 13 and the OnePlus 10 Pro gets this software first. That means that the OnePlus 10T that will be announced that day will still run on Android 12. Presumably, these OnePlus phones will be next for the update to Android 13 in the following period.

OnePlus has already announced that the OnePlus 10T will run on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. That is Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset recently announced. There would be a choice of a variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and a version with 12 GB of RAM and 12 GB of 256 GB of storage.

The OnePlus 10T would also have a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,800 mAh battery with a 150W fast charger. Furthermore, the rumors speak of three lenses: a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera, an 8 MP wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP macro camera. On the front is a 16 MP selfie camera. The price of the phone is expected to be between 518 and 684 euros. This means that the OnePlus 10 Pro (from 899 euros) remains the flagship of OnePlus for 2022, with the OnePlus 10T just below. It remains to be seen whether the new phone will also be available in Germany.
