If you are planning to go abroad on vacation, there are still some hooks and eyes. In order not to be faced with surprises, you would do well to go through the following checklist.

On vacation during the corona pandemic

To begin with, the national government still advises to stay in your own country, even if the number of infections is decreasing. If you plan to travel to the sunny south, it is necessary to check all risks and other important information in the travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before departure.

For a number of countries and regions, code yellow or green will apply from 15 May. Travel is possible, but in many of these countries measures still apply to travelers from the Netherlands. You may even have to quarantine on arrival.

  1. Red = Do not travel
  2. Orange = Only necessary trips
  3. Yellow = Attention, security risks
  4. Green = No special security risks
The color code for Belgium is orange. So only travel to Belgium if necessary.
