The best sellers are mobile games

Most of the money during this holiday was paid for mobile games and in-app payments. In total, up to $ 295.6 million, which is 27% more than last year. The most successful mobile game was the Honor of Kings title from Chinese software giant Tencent.

Smartphone owners spent $ 112 million on classic apps. This is 59% more than last year. The most successful application was the social service TikTok and the most successful category was Entertainment. In the social media / video sharing category, the account climbed to $ 4.7 million.

It is mostly spent in the USA and in the App Store

Of course, the Americans spent the most, up to $ 130 million. In their case, it was an increase of up to 38.7% compared to last year. It is American customers who are unwrapping Christmas presents on this day. The most downloaded mobile game in the USA was Roblox and the application was the new Disney + streaming service, which should not be available in Slovakia until next year.

Once again, it is confirmed that developers have the largest income from the App Store. Specifically, $ 278.6 million compared to $ 129 million in the Google Play store. It is confirmed that owners of Android devices are less willing to pay for applications than owners of iOS included. And this despite the fact that there are several times more of them.
