When you open the NS Bèta app, you will be greeted by the following service announcement: “We are organizing the Bèta differently. This app will not be updated further. Do you want to be the first to always have the latest features? Click ‘Read More’ to go to the Play Store where you can participate in the beta program.”
This is how you can participate in the beta program
You can still use the NS Bèta app, but you will no longer receive updates. In any case, you will no longer be eligible for new functions and in the long run it is possible that the app no longer works properly. So it’s high time to remove it and sign up for the beta program where the rail company will now work more. You do that as follows:
1. On your phone, go to this page in the Play Store and make sure you’re signed in with your Google account.
2. Scroll down and tap Join the beta program on Participate
3. Done!
You can also tap this link on your mobile or PC to register directly as a tester for the NS app. All new updates of this test version of the NS app are then automatically rolled out via the Play Store, just like with the ‘normal’ app. You can unsubscribe from the test via the same page and then click on leave the program.

Beta apps are more experimental versions of existing apps. It is therefore possible that these apps work less well than the existing apps, after all, they are test versions. For example, the beta app may crash or certain features may not work properly. If you like to take that risk for granted, you have the advantage that you can test the latest functions first.
