NS app lets you set notifications for changes in train journeys

The latest version of the NS app adds nice improvements. This makes it possible to receive a notification if something changes in your trip. Handy if you have to anticipate certain things.

Notification of your train journey

A new update of the NS app is available in the Google Play Store. In this new version it will be possible to set notifications for your trip. It concerns trips that you plan, of which you can be kept informed by means of a notification. The ‘Set notifications’ button is visible under the journey planner when planning the journey from A to B.

You can set four different options for receiving a notification. This concerns a notification if your train is not running, if there is a delay of more than 5 minutes, there is less chance of a seat, or if there are track changes. Handy if you know that you have to go to track 4, for example, instead of track 10. The Dutch Railways is testing this function as a pilot, where travelers can share feedback about the function. The trial should end at the end of the year.
