A cheap mobile phone tariff with a decent data volume: If you are familiar with the German tariff structure, you will not think of Telekom first and foremost. Those responsible want to change that and convince with new ideas and a big plus on data volume. Can the offer convince?

Telekom increases 5G tariffs – under these conditions

Telekom does not splash out and gives a decent increase in data volume with its Magenta mobile tariffs with 5G. “We want bring better performance for everyone in Germany. At the same price or cheaper than before”explains Torsten Brodt, head of mobile communications at Telekom Germany (source: telecom).

This becomes particularly clear using the example of Magenta Mobil L: The tariff is to be offered at the same monthly price of EUR 59.95, but with 40 GB instead of the previous 24 GB. The smallest level is Magenta Mobil XS with 5 GB per month. It is currently starting with the size S and 6 GB. The top version without data limit, however, is still available for 84.95 euros. Customers can choose between a fixed-term contract or termination, which is possible at any time, but this does not change the price.

What Telekom praises as an actual innovation are the family bonuses. Several SIM cards can be used for one contract. The second card costs 19.95 euros, all further cards 9.95 euros. The special feature: The entire data volume is not divided among the SIM cards. Each of the so-called “MagentaMobil PlusKarte” in the contract receives this same data volume as the main card.

Telekom gets even more customers with family offers

The idea is not new, but the fact that the term family is now understood in a very comprehensive way is: friends, acquaintances, roommates or neighbors could also share such a contract – the more, the greater the savings potential for everyone together – especially with unlimited data volume. It’s just stupid: If you don’t have anyone to share with or prefer not to, you can probably hope in vain for cheap offers from Telekom.
