Nothing Phone 1 gets Android 13 with Nothing OS 1.5 full of news

Nothing has updated its only smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1, with an update to Android 13. The new update is rolling out from now on and also includes the latest skin version; Nothing OS 1.5. This update brings a lot of new features and improvements.

We have previously discussed the Nothing Phone 1 extensively in the Nothing Phone 1 review. The manufacturer’s smartphone is the brand’s first device. Earlier it became clear that the update should be available to Android 13 in the first half of 2023. That is now the case, with an almost 1.3 GB update. For the Nothing Phone, the manufacturer has now started rolling out Android 13, along with Nothing OS 1.5. This together brings a lot of new functions to the smartphone.

With the update, the manufacturer brings fine improvements to the Nothing Phone 1. There is a new weather app that you can use. This will directly open the place with the weather, instead of opening a link. Furthermore, there are several new options for the Glyph interface, with new color schemes, new ringtones, wallpapers and more options for the lock screen. Nothing also improves the camera app, so you can now scan a QR code directly through the camera app. This option will also be immediately available as a quick setting via the quick settings menu.

The Nothing Phone 1 benefits from an improved fingerprint scanner, which should be 12 percent more accurate after the update to Nothing OS 1.5. The brand also promises faster startup times for apps and improved battery consumption in standby. In addition, it naturally brings the new functions of Android 13. Think of the color schemes, the language settings that you can adjust per app and a new media player. You also have more privacy options.
