there is good and bad news

Inflation is historically high and it sometimes seems like everything is getting more expensive. But will that also apply to the new iPhone 14? An Apple leaker thinks he knows, and he has both bad and good news about iPhone 14 prices.

Read on after the ad.

iPhone 14 prices

Contrary to popular belief, the iPhone’s price level has been roughly the same for years. In 2017 you paid for the flagship of Apple (at that time the iPhone X) 1159 euros. The iPhone 13 Pro from 2021 has exactly the same price tag: also 1159 euros.

Due to inflation, chip shortages and the depreciation of the euro, a price increase of the iPhone this year seems inevitable. Apple leaker LeaksApplePro also expects this. But whether the iPhone gets more expensive depends on which model you choose.

As in previous years, Apple is likely to launch four new iPhone models in September. First of all, there are two cheaper variants – they are probably called the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max. In addition, you can choose from the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most advanced devices from Apple.

Cheaper models

AppleLeaksPro has good news to report about the cheaper 6.1-inch iPhone 14. The phone is likely to be the same price as its predecessor, the 6.1-inch iPhone 13. According to the leaker, Apple is trying to save as much money as possible in the production of the iPhone 14 so that the price can remain the same.

For the iPhone 13 you now pay 909 euros, so this would be the price of the iPhone 14. A new 5.4-inch iPhone mini is not coming. Instead, the second device is an iPhone 14 Max, which, like the Pro Max, has a screen diagonal of 6.7 inches. Presumably, this device has an additional cost of 100 euros: it will then cost 1009 euros.

Price iPhone 14 Pro (Max)

The difference between the standard models and the Pro iPhones seems to be bigger than ever this year – also in terms of price. LeaksApplePro warns that Apple wants to increase the prices of the iPhone 14 Pro by at least $100. In Europe this amounts to an extra 100 euros.

Is his prediction correct, that you pay at least 1259 euros to purchase the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro. For the even larger iPhone 14 Pro Max you pay at least 1359 euros. Depending on the storage capacity, the price may be higher.

In summary, these are the expected iPhone 14 prices:

  • iPhone 14: 909 euros
  • iPhone 14 Max: 1009 euros
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 1259 euros
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 1359 euros

The iPhone 14 Pro will certainly not be cheap, but seems to have interesting features. According to rumors, Apple provides the device with an impressive 48-megapixel camera. There will also be an improved screen, making it the first iPhone to support Always-on. You can read more about the innovations in these articles:
