Netflix Originals

This has to do with the licensing deals that the company has concluded for films that do not fall under the ‘Netflix Originals’ label. Netflix Originals are not only movies and series made by Netflix, but also content that can be seen exclusively with the streaming service. For example, think of series like Stranger Things and Squid Game or movies like The Adam Project and The Sea Beast.

So you will definitely go for these Originals not missing out on the Netflix subscription with advertising. The problem is mainly in the films that are licensed on Netflix. You should think about this, among other things: Ghostbusters: Afterlife or rango. Netflix has to renegotiate the films and series with some of these publishers.

Netflix itself says that most films and series are present in the subscription with advertising. It is not yet known which films and series will not make the switch to the cheaper subscription.

So if you want to see all the movies and series from Netflix, you have to take one of the more expensive subscriptions. Of course, in this case you can always decide to switch to, for example, Disney Plus or HBO Max if you find Netflix too expensive.

The arrival of a cheaper Netflix subscription with advertising is not very surprising. The streaming service has not been going well for a while.
