Nokia G20, G50, 6.2 and 2.3 get new security update from July

A new update is being rolled out for several models of Nokia. It is the Nokia G20, Nokia G50, Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 2.3 that will be updated with the July security update. This also includes a number of improvements.

Nokia’s update policy was always clear, but in practice it appears that it is not all cake and egg. For example, some devices remain in an older update for a long time and there does not always seem to be a consistent update schedule. Now there is in any case good news for the owners of the Nokia G20, Nokia G50, the Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 2.3. In all four cases, the smartphones will be provided with a July 2022 security update. This update addresses more than 30 vulnerabilities in Android.

These are updates that will be rolled out in phases. It can therefore take a while until every user sees the update on his or her device. Han reports that the update for his Nokia G20 does not only seem to bring a security patch. The phone feels faster and smoother, and where the Reels in Facebook often faltered, they now seem to work quickly.
