HTC is getting going again: After a new smartphone was recently announced, an Android tablet has now surprisingly appeared. However, the mid-range device with a 10.1-inch display is not available everywhere at the beginning.

HTC A101: New mid-range tablet presented

The Taiwanese manufacturer HTC recently introduced the Desire 22 Pro mobile phone, which basically nobody expected. Now in Russia and South Africa is one new Android tablet appeared. Unlike the smartphone, however, HTC does without special VR and crypto functions.

The LTE tablet has a metal frame, the LC display has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and has one 10.1 inch diagonal. A keyboard can optionally be connected to the tablet via pogo pins.

For the processor, HTC has opted for the Chinese Unisoc T618, which can be assigned to the lower mid-range. After all, it is supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable flash memory. Android 11 is preinstalled. The battery offers a 7,000mAh capacity and is wired with 10 watts.

Two cameras can be found on the back of the HTC A101, which can take pictures with 16 MP and 2 MP. Videos are possible with Full HD resolution. There is also an LED flash. At the front, the camera takes 8 MP pictures and 1,080 x 720 pixels for videos. Face recognition is included in the form of “AI Face Unlock”.

In addition to WLAN and LTE, the tablet supports Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS. A USB-C port and a classic headphone jack can be found (source: HTC).
