‘No Samsung Galaxy Note 21 (Ultra) on the way’
The rumor comes from, among other things Ice Universe, an anonymous Twitter user who has more often spread accurate information about unannounced smartphones early in the past. According to the so-called leaker there is currently no indication that Samsung is working on a new Note phone.
The anonymous Twitterer is supported by this Max Weinbach, a tech journalist with another reliable track record when it comes to Android rumors. Weinbach indicated on Twitter last weekend which high-quality phones Samsung will release in 2021. For example, this list includes the Samsung Galaxy S21 and new Galaxy Fold phones, but successors to the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are missing.
These two claims coincide with a rumor that recently surfaced. It was stated that the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will receive support for the S Pen, the iconic stylus of Galaxy Note phones for, for example, taking notes.

New strategy for Samsung?
The smartphone insiders do not indicate why Samsung would not release new Note phones. The company may try to redesign its telephone range by, for example, revising or completely scrapping the line.
The aforementioned Ice Universe, for example, claimed that the Galaxy S21 Ultra can handle the characteristic S Pen, but has no place in the housing in which you can store the Note pen. The same would be true for the new Galaxy Z Fold phones.
Speaking of which, website Sammobile speculates that Samsung will focus on foldable smartphones in the coming years. The Galaxy Note line should therefore leave the field.
About the Galaxy Note 20
Last summer, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra were released. The flagships stand out mainly thanks to the S Pen support. You can use this handy pen, for example, to make presentations, drawings or notes. Once you’re done, put the stylus back in the housing, which has a special S Pen storage space.
However, Note phones are certainly not for everyone. In our review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, we explain why this is the case.
