NL-Alert will be tested on December 6 with control message
Next Monday, on December 6, a large-scale test of the NL-Alert system will take place. The test is held in conjunction with the air raid siren testing.

If your smartphone makes a lot of noise around 12 noon on Monday, don’t be alarmed. The Dutch government is testing NL-Alert again. The control message is sent out several times a year. At 12:00 this is about to happen, and you will receive a check message from NL-Alert, then you know that your smartphone has been set up correctly.

Monday December 6, however, more checks will be carried out with NL-Alert. The test message will also be displayed on digital billboards and information screens in public transport.
The text in the control message in the SMS from NL-Alert will be as follows;
NL-Alert 06-12-2021 12:00: TEST MESSAGE. The government warns you during emergency situations via NL-Alert. You will then read what to do and where you can find more information. Look at www.nl-alert.nl *** TEST MESSAGE Netherlands Government Public Warning System. No action required. More information: www.nl-alert.nl/english”
