Maradona: Blessed Dream (S01)

Maradona: Blessed Dream stars Nazareno Casero (Historia de un Clan), Juan Palomino (Magnifica 70) and Nicolas Goldschmidt (Supermax). They portray Diego Armando Maradona throughout his life and career. From its early beginnings in the town of Fiorito in his native Argentina, to his career with Barcelona and Napoli, and finally, the series will show his key role in winning the ’86 World Cup in Mexico with his national team. Julieta Cardinali (En Terapia, Valentin), Laura Esquivel (Patito Feo), Mercedes Morán (Diarios de Motocicleta), Pepe Monje (Amor and Custodia) and Peter Lanzani (El Clan) also feature prominently in the series.

Soldier of the North

One evening in the spring of 1943, a German army truck stops in Klaas Nieboer’s street. German soldiers get out and arrest a man. He turns out to be a member of the resistance, just like Klaas’ father. Thirteen-year-old Klaas also smuggles coupons from time to time. When his father is unexpectedly arrested for illegal slaughter, things go wrong. At school Klaas berates the history teacher for being a dirty NSB member and he has to report to the director. He gets kicked out of school. Then he finds under his pillow a note from his father with an important assignment. There is a traitor in their resistance group. Klaas must track him down and take him out as soon as possible before more members are arrested. Bram Baptist (1982) is a writer and historian. He spent about six years working on his debut novel, De Koningszoon, which was published in 2017. This exciting story about the golden chess piece was well received by young people. In addition to youth novels, Bram also writes short historical stories, organizes writing competitions and writes texts for historical music performances.
