Although Samsung has already launched many Android smartphones, there is probably still room for such a model. With the Galaxy M13, the company has presented a very special model, which will only be available from us in a modified form.

Samsung Galaxy M13 with 6,000 mAh battery

Samsung seems to be orienting itself more and more towards Xiaomi, which launches different smartphones with the same name depending on the region. This is what happened with the Galaxy M13. The smartphone with 4 GB of RAM and a 5,000 mAh battery will soon be available from us for 189 euros (see Amazon). In India, the Galaxy M13 shares the same name but is better equipped. Over there namely up to 12 GB of RAM and a 6,000 mAh battery. These are also the two most important technical features that differ (source: Samsung).

Otherwise Samsung has for that Indian Galaxy M13 chose a slightly different design, which is more based on the Galaxy S22 Ultra (test) due to the camera. Our Galaxy M13 is more in the direction of the Galaxy A53. It is not known why Samsung equips the two smartphones with the same name differently and why we receive the worse version in Germany. In India, the mobile phone costs even a little less at the equivalent of 150 euros. So we pay more and get less for it.

Are we being disadvantaged more often now?

Basically, we notice it every year with the S-Class smartphones. While the USA and meanwhile the home country South Korea get the better processors in high-end cell phones, other equipment could now be worse and cost more. We hope it doesn’t come to that, but we’ll keep an eye on the situation. A Galaxy M13 should be equipped the same in all markets and not worse in our case. Let’s hope this remains an exception. With the Galaxy S23, Samsung also wants to give us the better processor for a change.
