Evan Blass has made himself heard again. This time it’s not about a new smartphone that we can expect, but a new smartwatch. In our Oppo Watch review we were enthusiastic about the watch, and according to the manufacturer there is reason enough for a successor.
In leaked photos we see the Oppo Watch 2 with different colored straps. In addition to a black belt, we also see the colors red and blue in the photos. However, that does not mean that we also get this choice in the store. The first generation Oppo Watch is also available in different colors, but not in the Netherlands.
When we look at the design of the Oppo Watch 2, we don’t see anything earth-shattering. The watch retains its square screen and on the right are two physical buttons. We suspect that the operation of these buttons will be the same as that of the predecessor of the ‘2’. For example, you can quickly open the menu with one button, and you can quickly open a favorite application with the other button.
The Watch 2 is also rumored to have eSIM support and a GPS receiver. The current Watch also already has a built-in GPS receiver on board. The model may come on the market in two sizes (42 and 46 millimeters) and the watch will include a Snapdragon 4100 chipset, especially for the smartwatch. It is clear that the watch gets Wear OS.
According to the reports, Oppo would like to present the new smartwatch this week.
