New MacBook Pro with M1X chip coming this month

After the Apple Event in September, another event is waiting for you this month. At this event, Apple will introduce a new MacBook Pro with a faster M1X chip.

Read on after the ad.

New MacBook Pro with M1X chip

The new MacBook Pro not only has a faster chip, but also gets a new design. That says Mark Gurman from Bloomberg in its latest Power On newsletter. He also says that Apple usually shows its new Macs in October.

There will be two variants of the new Apple M1X chip. Both versions have 10 processor cores. One of them has 16 graphics cores and the second variant has 32 graphics cores. This makes the M1X more suitable for professional tasks, such as editing videos and other heavy programs. He also expects that the new M1X chip will also end up in an improved Mac mini.

And where is the new MacBook Air?

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that the new MacBook Air will not be released until the third quarter of 2022. Mass production will start in the second or early third quarter. So it seems it will be at least another year before Apple releases a new Air.

The MacBook Pro through the years

The MacBook Pro is the high-end model in Apple’s notebook line. The device is very popular due to the combination of excellent specifications and a beautiful, slim design. The MacBook Pro was introduced in 2006 and is replaced by a new model almost every year.

In October 2016, the MacBook Pro was completely renewed, including a Touch Bar. This tiny touchscreen adds context-sensitive touchscreen buttons. In 2018, Apple again introduced improvements. Upgrades for the MacBook Pro were also released in 2019 and 2020.
