New game uses vibrator as controller
Yes, you read that right. There is a game made for your smartphone that uses a vibrator as a controller.
The game was already talked about last year. The roboticist and software engineer Allison Liemhetcharat indicated that she had been working on a game that would use a smart vibrator as a controller. In particular, the Lioness smart vibrator, which collects bio-data such as body temperature and pelvic pressure.
She said at the time that she was inspired in part by the Perifit Kegel trainer, which also uses games and a device to help people strengthen their pelvic floor. The game called You Are What You Eat has been in beta ever since. Today, Liemhetcharat released the Android version, which you can now download from the Google Play Store. It will also come to iOS in the future.
Game uses vibrator
Liemhetcharat told the website Engadget that You Are What You Eat is based on her family’s favorite pastime. Kind of weird to combine this with a vibo, but oh well. “Our joke is that we eat everything,” she said. By itself, the game is endless, with the goal of eating as many creatures as possible before they die. You start out as a blob, then grow and then change depending on what you ingest. That also affects what you can continue to consume, as some creatures then become “inedible” based on what you have become. A WebGL version of the game is available.
So you don’t use the vibrator for what it was made for, let that be clear. For those who own the Lioness smart vibrator, you can use it to control your slime ball. Squeeze the head of the dildo (where the pressure sensors are) to jump, then do that twice to fly or jump twice. The device also vibrates when you do those things or eat something.
