Commercial article

The Huawei Matebook 14s notebook is coming to the Czech market and impresses not only with its appearance, but also with its impressive display. The novelty offers touch support and a display refresh rate of 90Hz, which allows you to view more smoothly. At the same time, it supports collaboration on multiple screens, offering an even smarter experience. The FullView display has narrow frames on the sides, offering an even better movie experience or more space for your projects.

You can’t put this behind the frame

There are few solutions available to increase the screen-to-body ratio of smartphones and laptops. The camera under the screen is one of the functional solutions. However, this may compromise the display resolution and specifications of the front camera. So how can the Huawei MateBook 14s achieve such a high screen-to-body ratio? It is not possible without the front design of the “Punch Camera”. Not only does it contain a customized small camera PCB that measures only 2.25 mm in width, making it one of the smallest camera modules in the industry. On the top frame, you can find a 720P IR camera for face recognition to still maintain a high screen-to-body ratio, allowing you to immerse yourself even more in the content.

High resolution display

Whether you’re looking at pictures or watching high-definition video, you’ll get the impression that the content comes to life. This is only thanks to the display, which supports a resolution of 2.5K (2520 x 1680) and offers an excellent pixel density at 213 ppi to display even the smallest details. It offers the best resolution and can render 1.07 million colors with support for 100% sRGB3 color gamut, 1500: 1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of 400 nits. Let yourself be carried away by the display, which has everything shown in detail.

Versatile control

The high-quality screen is characterized by high permeability, high fragility and also tolerance to corrosion, temperature and yellowing. Together with 10-point multi-touch support, the MateBook 14s provides smartphone-like convenience. This feature will be especially useful when processing tasks in applications or collaborating on multiple screens.

Comfort for the eyes as well

In addition to displaying high-definition content and vividness, the notebook provides a hardware solution to filter out blue light that is harmful to the eyes. Compared to a traditional software-level solution, it not only requires no manual adjustment, but also allows the display to reproduce authentic colors without a yellow tint. It has passed the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification and also received the TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free Certification. The display relieves eye fatigue and protects it, especially with prolonged use.

The new laptop is also equipped with a light sensor. Whether you’re watching videos with the lights off or working in low light, the MateBook 14s can detect ambient light and adjust the brightness level accordingly.

What’s new?

The MateView GT 34 ”and MateView GT 27” have joined the Huawei monitor family, two unique gaming monitors that continue the innovative spirit of the Mate series while inheriting the DNA of the GT family. MateView GT is an ultra curved 1500R monitor with a high refresh rate of 165Hz providing a unique experience with powerful audiovisual elements. You can buy it now on the Huawei e-shop, it will be available in other stores from Monday, November 29, 2021.
