The German manufacturer AVM, known for its Fritz boxes, has presented a new repeater. With its three radio units and the Wi-Fi 6 standard, the Fritz Repeater 3000 AX ensures faster WLAN and LAN in the apartment or house. But AVM can also pay well for that.

AVM’s repeater portfolio continues to grow. The manufacturer now has its own at the IFA 2022 in Berlin 3000 AX tri-band repeater presented. This can be assigned to the high-end area, which is noticeable in the performance offered and also in the price.
The Fritz Repeater 3000 AX supports the fast WLAN standard Wi-Fi 6. Combined transmission rates of up to 4,200 megabits per second are possible via the three radio units with a total of eight antennas. One of the modules operates in the 2.4 GHz range, the other two at 5 GHz. The WLAN encryption standard WPA3 is included.
To the best position for the WiFi extender to be found in the house or apartment, AVM offers an app. As with other repeaters, configuration is carried out via the user interface of the connected router. With Fritz boxes, setting up an AVM repeater is particularly easy, often only the WPS button has to be pressed.
