Instagram Subscriptions: This is it…
Instagram Subscriptions is being expanded and equipped with new features. This gives content creators more options to earn an extra pocket money. For example, you will soon be able to make Instagram Reels (short videos) only available to your followers.
Instagram has been working on the feature to get more paid content to the photo service for a while now. The social network had already started a test in January 2022 to introduce some users to the new features.

Now own Mark Zuckerberg explained the whole story in a message on Instagram. In it he told you exactly what you can expect from the new features at Instagram Subscriptions. He said the features are currently being rolled out. So it may take a while before the new options can be seen in your Instagram app.
Until recently, it was only possible to organize Instagram Stories and live streams for subscribers. Paying followers could also get a special badge. Now there are group chats, Instagram Reels and posts that you can only access when you are a subscriber. There will also be a special tab on the profile where you can view the exclusive content (of course only if you are a subscriber).
Meta (the parent company behind Facebook and Instagram, among others) currently does not charge a percentage of the income. The company will continue to do this until the end of 2024.
Originally this was supposed to be until the end of 2023, but Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that it will be taped for another year. What Meta will ask after that is not yet known, but in 2021 Zuckerburg did say that it is less than the 30% that Apple and others are asking. It is not known whether Instagram Subscriptions will get more new features in the near future.
