Less waiting time: Deutsche Post DHL launches practical online function

DHL and Deutsche Post are now providing a practical function designed to save customers time. Instead of having to stand in a miserably long queue, you can in future inform beforehand when there will be a lot going on.

The new feature has been implemented in the location search, where you can search for branches near you or at other locations. It can be found on the Deutsche Post website via the web browser on a laptop, but also on the smartphone on the go. With the so-called “peak time display”, customers can see whether they need to plan more time or whether it would be better to come back later.

The “expected hourly visitor occupancy” is displayed, such as Deutsche Post DHL. A is used for evaluation traffic light system. A green display means that there is little going on and you will be there quickly, with “red” you should be prepared to wait. The ad is regularly updated on the basis of empirical values, it is said.

Therein lies the catch: live tracking of the flow of visitors does not take place. You only get empirical values, but that do not have to apply in individual cases. Anyone who regularly uses Google Maps is already familiar with the feature: it also shows when and where a large number of people are currently staying. So you have several ways to get the information.
