Apple Classical is really coming soon
Apple announced at the end of August in 2021 that it had acquired Primephonic. This is a Dutch-American company that had made an app for classical music. However, we have been waiting a long time for the official launch of Apple Classical (Music).
Now, more than a year later, Apple seems to be preparing for the real launch of Apple Music Classical. A Twitter user found mentions of Apple Classical in the source code of Apple Music.

At first we thought that the release of the new AirPods Pro 2 would ensure that Apple would announce this music service for classical music, but nothing turned out to be less true. Now we found a tweet which contained mentions of this Apple Classical service.
Now it seems that classical music will also get its own app from Apple. It could also be that Apple gives this timeless music style a special place within the Apple Music app. We hoped that this app would come with the launch of iOS 16, but then only Apple Music itself got some new features.
Apple Music Classical is going to be your personal curator
There are already many rumors about a special search engine within Apple Classical Music. For example, with a special search function you could find different versions of your favorite composition. With Spotify, for example, this is already a lot more difficult, because there are often thousands of performances of one piece. Apple Classical should solve this problem.
The app will also give you a lot of information about the piece you are listening to. Think of the pitch or the year and the location of the performance. This way you can almost imagine yourself in the relevant room and year.
In addition, Apple’s music experts give you recommendations on different types of compositions. Some say you calm down, the other is to waltz. For example, with Classical (and also with Music) Apple is increasingly taking on the role of music curator and is not only trying to sell classical music to the elderly, but perhaps also making the younger generation a fan of classical music.
