New emoji on the way: donkey, goose and a pink heart
These new emojis are being prepared and coming to your phone soon.
Emojis have become a regular part of our communication. A great way to spice up your WhatsApp messages and your e-mails. You can show without words what you feel or want to say. All in one picture. You know it’s now fully established in our everyday language, because your mother uses them too…
Every year an official organization checks which new emojis can be added to the catalog. That organization is called United Consortium and they have launched 31 new emojis into the world that we can expect soon.
Inclusivity
United Consortium’s mission is to serve every layer of the population with the available pictures. This way everyone can express themselves and everyone can recognize themselves in the entire collection of emoji.
To stay inclusive and add fun new things, the United Consortium presents a new collection every year. We are now at 15.0 and they still have to be finalized, but in general all designs from the final draft actually get your phone.
This year, 31 units are planned. A lot less than last year when we got 112 more ways to capture our emotions in one picture.
Animals, hearts and ginger
In any case, we can expect new animals such as a donkey and a goose, a jellyfish and a moose. We can go high-five with hands coming from the left or the right and there’s a shaking face on the schedule that we can express ourselves with when we’re shocked. A ginger tuber has also been devised and a WiFi emoji proposed, which, strangely enough, was not yet available.
This new list of emojis isn’t done yet. It will be finalized in September. The final emojis may also look slightly different and may differ in appearance between the various tech companies such as Google, Apple and Microsoft.
