New database helps players with disabilities -apkrig
At Vortex, we repeatedly like to play from the perspective of people who have a disability. The newly launched database is intended to help such players select suitable titles. Accessible Games Database allows you to search and sort games according to various preferences. In addition to standard items such as publishers, genres, platforms, or age ratings, you’ll also find a variety of accessibility features, whether it’s setting captions, visual help, or control assistants. Based on the selected parameters, a player with a disability can find such titles that correspond to his preferences and possibilities.
Or simply search for a specific game that you are potentially interested in and see what gadgets, tools and compensation features it offers. This is not a database that could necessarily only address the disabled. If you suffer from resetting controls, suppressing quick-time events, customizing HUDs or subtitles, this project will also come in handy. It can also be used to sort games that require an Internet connection, (do not) offer tutorials, or (do not) allow you to change the default difficulty or save anywhere. And so we could go on for a long time.
Of course, all the information needs to be verified and thoroughly checked, so there is a lot of ant work behind this project so that the user can really rely on the results and follow the recommendations of the database.
Behind the database is the non-profit organization DAGER System, which wants people with disabilities not to have to take any risks associated with uncertainty when buying games. With the help of filters, you just click on the required functions and know which games fulfill them. According to its authors, the purpose is that the customer does not have to buy games in ignorance, whether after spending money he will find, for example, in the main menu accessibility settings, what he offers and whether he will be able to actually play the title.
The Accessible Games Database was launched in early October and currently contains 144 titles. It may not seem like much, but consider what it entails. The database is constantly growing and if you suspect an error, you can easily report it. Of course, all the information needs to be verified and thoroughly checked, so there is a lot of ant work behind this project so that the user can really rely on the results and follow the recommendations of the database. But already in the content you will find a number of the biggest blockbuster of recent times and games in general, which have earned recognition in this sense. Or, on the contrary, criticism and it is necessary to be careful. At the same time, the authors of the project intend to add not only other titles in the future, but also functions and filters based on feedback.
