new chipset and MIUI 12.5 with Android 11
In the last few days, we have brought you some information about the upcoming Redmi Note 8 (2021)which is now officially released. The specifications and appearance of the phone are as expected. So it’s the same phone with a newer chipset, Android 11 and water resistance.

As the name of the phone suggests, the phone is based on the original Redmi Note 2019. This model has sold over 25 million worldwide and is one of the most successful Redmi phones ever. So the chipset is ticking under the hood MediaTek Helio G85 together with 4 GB of RAM. There is then a choice of 64 and 128 GB drives from the storage. The system is then MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11. The fact that Xiaomi decided to degrade the quality of the video freezes. From the original 4K at 30 FPS can now only shoot Full HD and 30 FPS.
