Netflix will offer its subscription with advertising at € 5.99 from November 3
Netflix specifies the arrival of its subscription with advertising and it will be available from November 3 for €5.99/month. In comparison, the cheapest current offer (which is called Essential) costs €8.99/month.
Netflix’s new subscription is called “Essential with ads”, therefore costs €5.99/month and will be available in 12 countries from November 3. We find Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Korea, the United States, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico and the United Kingdom. There’s HD video quality (720p) at best; those who want Full HD (1080p) or 4K (2160p) should look to the more expensive offerings.
So there are advertisements, but what can we expect? An average of 4 to 5 minutes of advertising per hour. At launch, 15-30 second ads will run before and during programs.
There are also limitations, such as the absence of some series and films not available due to rights restrictions on certain titles. Furthermore, downloading offline programs is not possible with this formula.
Do you like Netflix as you have it today? Perfect, nothing will change for you!
