Netflix will add 40 games in 2023 and Monument Valley in 2024
Netflix continues to enrich its catalog of games. Since launching in late 2021, the service has 55 titles and there will be 40 more in 2023.
New games coming to Netflix in 2023
“This year, we are going to expand our catalog with several games each month”, explain Netflix. “We’re working with the world’s biggest studios to continue to bring our subscribers indie gems, award-winning hits, RPGs, interactive adventures, puzzle games and more.”. In addition, 70 new games are being created with partners and will be added to the 16 titles currently developed in-house.
Netflix has revealed some of the upcoming titles, including Terra Nilea reverse city-building game (March 28), and Paper Trail, which lets you bend parts of the world to solve puzzles. The service has also struck a deal with Ubisoft for three exclusive games. The second of them, after Valiant Hearts: Coming Homewill arrive on April 18 in the form of Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace. This is a roguelite game set in the same universe as The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. The formula is improved, the story is deeper, and the gameplay is better.
The sequel to one of Netflix’s most played games to date, Too Hot to Handlewill also be available later this year: Love is a Gamebased on the reality show Too Hot to Handle. Netflix says the weekly content changes have kept players coming back and it’s working with developer Nanobit on the game’s sequel.
Longer term, Monument Valley will be coming to Netflix. Monument Valley And Monument Valley 2 will be available in the course of 2024 on the platform. As a reminder, Monument Valley 2+ is already available on Apple Arcade.
