Drive to Survive is an absolute hit on Netflix. The series maps a piece of background about Formula 1. Whether it is all truthful is something you can debate. Let’s say so. Netflix is Netflix and a bit of Hollywood can be found in Drive to Survive.
The concept of Netflix Drive to Survive is now making the switch to cycling. The products of the series will follow cycling teams and make a documentary about it. The nice thing is that of the eight cycling teams, there is also a Dutch team. This is Jumbo-Visma. The Alpecin-Fenix team with Dutchman Mathieu van der Poels is also among the eight cooperating cycling teams.
Just like some Formula 1 teams, there are also teams in the cycling world that are not waiting for Netflix. UAE Team Emirates has announced that it does not want to participate in the show. Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl, INEOS-Grenadiers, AG2R Citroën, BORA-hansgrohe, EF Education and Groupama-FDJ are participating.
The Tour de France takes center stage in this new Netflix series from the makers of Drive to Survive. The first season contains eight episodes and lasts 45 minutes. As with Drive to Survive, the makers hope to provide a bit of background.
