Nemesis, Leon and Jill -apkrig are heading to Dead by Daylight
In April, we wrote for the first time that content inspired by the horror saga Resident Evil would target the asymmetric multiplayer action Dead by Daylight. The next cross-over is due to arrive in June, and now we’ve finally learned more details from Behavior Interactive. Canadian developers are attracting us to the news through a fresh trailer, and footage directly from the game can be seen in yesterday’s stream recording the fifth anniversary of the Dead by Daylight brand.
Three new characters will be available on June 15. Nemesis will introduce himself as a killer and Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy will fight for their lives on the side of the survivors. There will also be a new map, which is located in the famous police station in Raccoon City. The new content is part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil and Behavior Interactive, who have previously connected their game with rival Silent Hill, are, according to them, proud to be able to join the celebrations in this way.
According to the developers, they relied on the remake of Resident Evil 2 and 3. If we allegedly played improved versions, we can move around the environment of the police station quite naturally.
The authors are enthusiastic about the map, in which they put a lot of effort. The environment of the police station itself seems to have captured the Canadian team very well again. There is a statue in the hall, you will meet a crashed helicopter, you will see a typewriter and the individual offices and rooms are authentic. According to them, the developers relied on the remake of Resident Evil 2 and 3. If we allegedly played improved versions, we can move in this environment quite naturally. But we will also come across something that is typical of Dead by Daylight.
As for the characters, Behavior Interactive says that Resident Evil has a lot of great heroes, so it was extremely difficult to pick just one survivor. So they chose two. Of course, everyone comes up with unique abilities. Similarly, for a killer, the authors could choose from a variety of monsters, but eventually opted for Nemesis. It can attack with tentacles and infect survivors who start coughing and vomiting. So it will be easier to find and catch them. They will also be more vulnerable to further attacks.
The more survivors Nemesis infects, the stronger it gets and reaches with its attacks. Survivors can get rid of infections with the help of the vaccines they find on the map, but there are a limited number of them. According to the study, Nemesis will be an unstoppable predator, and for the first time ever, a player in the skin of a killer will have a character controlled by artificial intelligence at hand. Along the Nemesis is a zombie controlled by AI. They pose an additional danger to survivors.
The principle of the game as such does not change. The DLC will sell for $ 12 and will be officially released on June 15. The new PTB is now available. As we wrote earlier, the paradox is that some time ago Capcom unsuccessfully tried to compete with Dead by Daylight with its own asymmetric multiplayer horror film Resident Evil: Resistance. But now he has decided to add to the favorite of this genre.
