The new Chinese souls is said to be too similar to its -apkrig patterns

Another potentially interesting Wuchang from is coming to us from China: Fallen Feathers, which was presented to the world in a nutritious 18-minute video. There is a continuous gameplay and a fast-cut trailer at the end. The action RPG is set in the Ming Dynasty and its authors from the Leenzee Games studio were, of course, inspired by history and real events, but they will definitely not be bound by them and there will be a lot of fantastic elements. The developers promise challenging battles and exploration of the attractive world and everything you can imagine from Souls-like games.

There has been considerable criticism of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. But the reason is a little different than the imperfections of the graphics or some mistakes.

The game is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine technology and is aimed at PCs and next-generation consoles, but has not yet set a more accurate release date. Preliminary talk is about the year 2024. The fact that these are early shots of the title, on which an independent studio is working, does not have a bad effect at all. After all, the team was only formed in 2016. At Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, however, there was considerable criticism. But the reason is a little different than the imperfections of the graphics or some mistakes.

Immediately after its revelation, the title began to face charges of over-imitating or copying games from FromSoftware. Some fans like it very much, but a larger group does not hesitate to call it plagiarism. On the official channel, thumbs down now outnumber those upwards by a ratio of approximately 2: 1. Players see fragments of Sekira, Bloodborne and Dark Souls in the novelty.

It is said that some sounds as well as movements and animations in general are identical. On the other hand, there are also a lot of players who mind these things, but the project still aroused their curiosity. Their views could be summarized as follows: “Okay, I’m quite annoyed by how much monkey is from AfterSoftware, but I’d still like to play it.”

From China, interesting and truly ambitious titles with a global focus are increasingly heading towards the West, so players are watching similar projects much more closely than before. Black Myth: Wukong is worth mentioning at random. However, it is necessary to take into account that some Chinese games may borrow more ideas from the competition than is usual in our country. And this is a mentality that their authors can adopt from China and into international production.
