Napoleon (Apple TV+), Ridley Scott’s film, unveils its trailer
Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Napoleon, the film by Ridley Scott. This one will first be released in cinemas, it will be on November 22nd. There will then be a streaming release on Apple TV+.
Napoleon features Joaquin Phoenix as the French emperor and military leader. The film is an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his rapid and ruthless rise to the rank of emperor, seen through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine, played by Vanessa Kirby. The feature film traces Napoleon’s famous battles, his relentless ambition and his amazing strategic mind as a military leader.
Regarding streaming, the release is going to be a complicated case in France compared to the rest of the world. Indeed, the media chronology imposes a delay between theatrical release and availability on other media (VOD, DVD/Blu-ray, streaming). In this case, the law imposes a deadline of 17 for the release on a streaming platform like Apple TV+, meaning that the French broadcast on Apple TV+ would be in April 2025. It will be much earlier in the other countries.
