Meta launches a paid subscription to certify its Instagram and Facebook account
After Twitter Blue, place to Meta Verified. The parent company of Instagram and Facebook announces a paid subscription allowing you to certify your account on the two social networks.

The Meta Verified subscription therefore allows you to certify your account and to have the blue badge. Here are the benefits offered:

- Prioritization of Meta Verified profiles in other users’ comments
- Recommendations on the Explore page and in Reels on Instagram
- Exclusive stickers in your Instagram stories
Mark Zuckerberg, the boss of Meta, ensures that this new subscription allows “verify your account with government-issued ID, get a blue badge, get additional identity theft protection, and direct access to customer support. This new feature aims to strengthen the authenticity and security of our services”.
This subscription is clearly in response to Twitter Blue, which offers equivalent services. It also allows you to have a blue badge, a highlight in the replies in the tweets and more. Meta ensures for its part that nothing will change for already certified accounts, where Elon Musk has made it clear that the certification will necessarily go through Twitter Blue and that already certified accounts should lose it in the long term.
The Meta Verified subscription for Instagram and Facebook is currently available in New Zealand and Australia. The price is AU$19.99 per month if taken from the web or AU$24.99 per month if taken from the iOS app (nothing mentioned for the Android app) .
We will have to wait to have this service in France and in other countries. The price in euros is not yet communicated, but Mark Zuckerberg mentions $11.99/month from the Web and $14.99/month from the iOS application for the United States. We can therefore suggest that it will be similar in euros.
