‘My son (7) only wears shorts, even when it’s freezing’

You can still imagine your child wearing a stylistically responsible set every day, but if your little one has a different opinion about it, it’s sometimes better to go along with it.

Kseniya (28): “As much as I find it important to look good, my daughter (5) chooses her own clothes. Girlfriends who prepare a stylistically responsible set every morning, I don’t get it. I think it’s good that my daughter feels the freedom and independence to make her own choices. Of course not when it comes to what she eats, whether she goes to school and what time she goes to bed. But what do I care what she wears? It looks funny too, such a hysterical tutu with Crocs and her favorite knitted horse sweater.”

To paint your nails

Sharon (30): “My son (4) wears nail polish. Does he like it. He regularly sees me busy with my gel polish and UV lamp, and what mom does is still sacred. He is not allowed to use that gel polish, because it doesn’t just come off, but he has received his own jar of blue – self-chosen – varnish. He proudly shows his ten blue fingers and ten blue toes to anyone who wants to see it. He is right: it also looks fantastic.”

Just like grandpa

Marina (40): “I moved heaven and earth to get my son (7) to wear long trousers. But no matter what I try, he just wants to wear shorts. Even if it freezes that it cracks or the rain comes pouring down from the sky. Pretty crazy, his classmates think.

“It must be good for the resistance”

But he himself prefers to wear slippers underneath. That’s where I drew the line; that can never be healthy below ten degrees. But our grandfathers used to wear no different, so I’ll leave it like that. It must be good for the resistance.”
