Motorola will send Android 13 update to 13 device types at the end of this year

Motorola has announced which devices will receive the upgrade to Android 13 this year. It almost only concerns devices that appeared in 2022, except for the Motorola Edge 20 series.

Android 13 update

Tweakers writes that at least seven smartphone series of the brand will be upgraded. Motorola is not necessarily known as a brand that provides long upgrades. It is also aware of that. However, it believes that especially in the price range in which many of its smartphones fall, it mainly revolves around functionalities for customers and that updates are often expensive and take a lot of time.

Time that the brand clearly prefers to invest in new devices, although the durability is debatable. Moreover, the question is how it will solve this once the potential new regulations of Europe have passed, which means that security updates must in any case be given for 5 years.

Motorola devices

In the list of Motorola devices that will receive the Android 13 update, we only see devices from 2022, with the only exception being the Motorola Edge 20 phones. Devices from 2021 and earlier will receive one more security update within 12 months (although that does not even apply to all devices).

When Motorola is ready to send out the Android 13 update is still unknown. In any case, it would be before the end of the year. Curious about which devices it concerns? This is the list:
