more than half of readers opt for wireless earphones

More than half of Androidworld’s readers use wireless earphones. This allows you to listen to music on your phone, but also other audio such as the sound from Netflix, Disney+ or Videoland. Or the sound of friends calling you or colleagues you video calling. But, they are also there to filter out sound, because many wireless earbuds are equipped with noise cancellation. This is partly why they are probably a popular choice among readers, although there are also those who prefer wired copies.

Earphones

Where 54 percent of the readers opt for wireless earphones, 9 percent go for the wired version. Not a bad choice either: you don’t have to charge them, you don’t lose them as quickly and you don’t have to connect first. Wired headphones already have a lot fewer readers: only 5 percent, although wireless headphones are popular with 28 percent. This is probably due to the good music quality and noise-cancelling functions, as we have seen (or actually heard) very well with the 1000XM headphone series from Samsung for several years now.

Finally, 4 percent of the readers say ‘different’ and indicate how different in the comments. Marvado, for example, who deals with sound about speakers: “I use a bluetooth speaker at home and in the car a bluetooth receiver with a jack plug.” In addition, many readers have both. And not without reason: Wilkoschiks: “Earphones and headphones are both wireless. The earphones on the plane, the headphones at home. I think it’s too much of a hassle to take headphones with me on a trip.”

The author of this piece completely agrees. Headphones, for example, are also less pleasant for sports, so the in-ears are then added. However, there is another category that falls outside of headphones and earbuds. Franciskine: “I wear BT hearing aids anyway, so my sound always comes through these hearing aids…” What many non-hearing aid users don’t know is that you can listen to music or make phone calls with these devices these days. Boss over boss, such multifunctional gadgets. Then a consideration between earplugs or headphones is not necessary at all.
