Although Motorola is building more and more interesting Android smartphones that can technically keep up with Samsung and Xiaomi or even surpass them, the company, which belongs to Lenovo, is still a little behind when it comes to update policy. Now there is at least a small glimmer of hope, because Motorola is supplying more Android smartphones with Android 13.

Motorola is rolling out more phones with Android 13

Motorola follows a similar update strategy as Xiaomi. There is only an update guarantee for selected models, which is limited to three OS updates and four years of security updates. After all, Google distributes security updates for five years, Samsung even distributes four years of OS updates and five years of security updates. With Samsung, however, this applies to almost all smartphones and tablets, but not so far with Motorola. But there is good news, because Motorola will supply more devices with Android 13 (source: Motorola Forum). Instead of 10, 20 models are now to be updated.

These Motorola smartphones will receive Android 13:

  • Motorola Razr (2022)
  • Motorola Edge 30 Ultra
  • Motorola Edge 30 Pro
  • Motorola Edge+ 5G UW (2022)
  • Motorola Edge 30 Fusion
  • Motorola Edge 30 Neo
  • Motorola Edge 30
  • Motorola Edge (2022)
  • Motorola Edge 20 Pro
  • Motorola Edge 20
  • Motorola Edge (2021)
  • Motorola Edge 20 Lite
  • Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2022)
  • Motorola Moto G 5G
  • Motorola Moto G82 5G
  • Motorola Moto G72
  • Motorola Moto G62 5G
  • Motorola Moto G52
  • Motorola Moto G42
  • Motorola Moto G32

Accordingly, not only more expensive Motorola cell phones are supplied with Android 13, but also cheaper models. This is great news for buyers of these smartphones, because the devices are being updated and can therefore be used safely for longer.
