More and more Dutch households have smart household appliances

One in five households has a smart home appliance. This is reported by research agency Multiscope in response to its Smart Home Monitor.

Convenience at home

First, let’s take a look at the numbers. Twenty percent of Dutch households now own smart household equipment. This amounts to approximately 1.6 million Dutch households. Last year this percentage was 14%. Compared to 2021, this category has therefore increased by 6 percentage points. People most often have a smart robot vacuum cleaner (10%), washing machine (5%) or dishwasher (3%).
