Moonfall: Roland Emmerich drops the Moon on Earth (trailer)

Roland emmerich, a great specialist in disaster films with very little credible scenarios (Independance Day, Godzilla, 2012, Le Jour d’Après), returns this time with an even more bizarre synopsis: the Earth is in danger… because the Moon literally falls on it! Against this backdrop of the end of the world, three NASA astronauts (interpreted by Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson and John bradley) will try to save the world, or rather what is left of it. the trailer unveils a film with Dantesque special effects, with mountains and cities collapsing like castles of cards.

Strangely, Emmerich’s disaster films are so “Too much” that they become entertaining and ultimately lose any anxiety-inducing aspect (whereas the destruction of humanity should a priori generate some existential anguish). This is a good start to be the case once again with this freewheeling Moonfall. The film will be seen in theaters on February 4, 2022.
