Mini solar systems are falling sharply in price
Rising electricity prices have ensured that many people are interested in balcony power plants. These are small photovoltaic systems that only have one or two solar panels and a micro-inverter and are connected directly to the socket. Now the prices are falling significantly, so that the purchase is worthwhile again.

Update from December 08, 2022: As I expected, prices are falling and supply is increasing as the supply chain from China is improving again and freight costs are falling. There is currently one on eBay Complete set for only 779 euros (look at eBay). The delivery, which can otherwise cost around 100 euros, is free here. A really strong deal.
Despite the 770 watts, the set is legal because the inverter outputs a maximum of 600 watts to the socket. You even have the advantage that you can get a few more watts out of it in bad weather because the solar cells simply have more power. I have been using exactly the same inverter for 1.5 years.
Alternatively, this could also be the case Set with 750 watts for 699 euros (look at eBay) something for you. But the connection cable is not finished there. So you would still have to find an electrician to wire the power cable for you. It costs significantly less.
Important: You still need an elevation or attachment for your mini solar system (look at eBay).
The prices are currently developing very quickly. They keep falling. So if you want to buy a balcony power plant, check out all the listings on eBay. But make sure that shipping is not always free (check on eBay). Don’t use the cheapest inverter either. Find out beforehand so you won’t be disappointed later. But meanwhile good offers are also appearing on eBay, which I can say are worthwhile (look at eBay). At Amazon, the prices are currently far too high and are 1,000 euros or more. It will probably be a while before the sets are cheaper (look at Amazon).

I’ve had my balcony power plant in operation since June 2021 and have saved around 100 euros per year if I use my electricity price of 30 cents per kilowatt hour as the basis for calculation. However, my mini solar system is not perfectly aligned and is somewhat shaded during the day. So you could get more out of it. After about 8 years I got my investment of about 800 euros back. Such a system should run for 25 years if nothing breaks. So it’s worth it either way if you have the opportunity to build such a system.
